Taking just 52 minutes, Ronnie O’Sullivan defeated local favorite Ng On Yee 5-0 to get to the semifinals of the Hong Kong Masters. In the meantime, Neil Robertson showcased his chances of winning a second Hong Kong Masters championship by making two century, including a tournament-high 140, during 5-3 quarterfinal victory over Mark Williams.

2022 Hong Kong Masters Quarterfinal Results, Scores, Match Winners, And Semi-final Draw
Zhao Xintong was initially slated to face reigning champion Neil Robertson, but Zhao was forced to quit from the competition after testing positive for COVID-19, and Mark Williams took his place. Williams won first frame with 133-break, but Robertson countered with a 105-break to tie score at 1-1. Later, third frame was won by Williams on the black, but Robertson once more tied the game at 2-2. Robertson made a 140 break in the fifth frame and won the sixth to take a 4-2 lead after the session’s midpoint. Williams had an opportunity to force a decision in the eighth after winning the seventh with an 80 break, but Robertson sealed a 5-3 victory after Williams went in-off.
Ronnie O’Sullivan, the current world champion and number one in the world, defeated three-time World Women’s Snooker champion Ng On-yee with score of 5-0 after scoring breaks of 72, 100, 59, 81, and 95 while competing in front of a record-breaking crowd of more than 5,000 people. On October 7, the quarterfinal matches were played as per best of nine frames format; on October 8, the semifinal matches will be played under best-of-eleven frames format.
On Saturday’s semi-final clash, Ronnie will play Robertson in a repeat of 2017 edition’s final while local-hero Marco Fu set to clash against John Higgins for a berth in Sunday’s final clash. The tournament tickets can be purchased by fans from here.

Prize Money Pool Distribution of 2022 Hong Kong Masters
The prize pool for winner of 2022 Hong Kong Masters is £100,000, although the runner-up will only receive £45,000. Each competitor will receive at least £22,500 in cash from the competition’s total prize pool of £315,000, and Mark Williams also settled for £22,500 after losing in the quarterfinals.
