The club is believed to have taken his yearly contract up to 7 million pounds from the 5 million he currently earns at Real Madrid. The player who is currently in the last year of his contract at Real Madrid will see his weekly salary and wage rise to 250,000 pounds per from the 170,000 pounds he earns.

His transfer fees will be in the region of 50 million pounds.

Varane has played at the highest level of football and has a ton of experience on his shoulders forming a formidable defensive pairing for Real Madrid with Sergio Ramos. United are hoping that he can bring that experience and support the current squad.

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane joined Real Madrid in 2011 for a transfer fee in the range of €10 million which was a really good bargain for a strong young defender.
