FFCO 2021 is an official tournament conducted by Free Fire officials. Free Fire City Open 2021 will be competed between 24 teams across two play ins

The playing 1 will start from 20th July which will give the teams their last chance to book their slot in the national finals.

Free Fire is one of the most popular battle royale mobile games across the world. Moreover, the game has started expanding its eSports scene and now it has come to India. Earlier, in the eSports Awards 2020, Free Fire was named as eSports mobile game of the year.

FFCO is a tournament where teams represent their cities on the national stage. Furthermore, to do so, they have to go through qualifiers and city finals. So, here is complete detail about the FFCO play-ins and the upcoming tournament format.

Free Fire Open City 2021 Play-Ins And Wildcards: Everything You Need To Know

There were a total of 8 cities named in the FFCO tournament. Moreover, the finals of all the cities completed on 9th July, and the winner directly qualified for the National Finals. The remaining teams who finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4thย  in their respective city finals are now getting another chance to book their slot in the finals. Furthermore, there are a total of 24 teams divided into two groups who will compete in the play-ins.

So, here is a list of details about the play-ins of FFCO 2021:

  • A total of 24 teams are divided into two groups of 12 each
  • Both the groups will play their respective play-ins
  • The top 6 teams from both the groups will play the play-in finals

So, the play-ins matches are the last chance for the city finalist to book a national finals slot. Furthermore, all the teams will try their best in the wildcard playoffs to win their matches and be in the top 6. The top 6 from both the groups will play the play-ins finals on 30th July. However, the play-ins are getting started from 20th July.

The FFCO tournament has a prize pool of 60 lakh rupees. Furthermore, this is one of the biggest tournaments in the history of Free fire India. Also, there were a total of 8 cities in the FFCO 2021.

  • Champion – 1,00,000 INR
  • 1st Runner-up – 50,000 INR
  • 2nd Runner-up – 25,000 INR
  • 4th Place- 25,000 INR

The match will be streamed on the official Youtube and Facebook Channel of Free Fire Esports India from 6 PM IST.
