On July 18, when Andy Detwiler was four years old, he followed his father and grandfather around the farm while they worked. While the adults were pulling weeds, he put his hands in the auger hopper.
For those who don’t know, an auger hopper is a machine used in farming to store goods before they are given out by the auger. It is thought to be one of the most dangerous things on a farm.
Andy’s mom said that he put one arm in it by accident, and then it pulled the other arm in. Since the machine was spinning out of control, it hurt the YouTuber very badly.

In the video, his mom says that he “ended up with over a hundred stitches across his lip.”ย Andy had to be taken to the hospital quickly, where his arms had to be cut off. The YouTuber says that he was fully aware of what was going on the whole time.ย Even though it was hard for Andy to grow up without arms. He made a good life for himself and has inspired many people with his story.
Andy Detwiler Was Diagnosed With Cancer.
In 2020, the YouTuber was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus. Andy put up a video in April 2021 to tell his fans that he had been diagnosed with cancer. The “Harmless Farmer” talked in the video called “I Was Diagnosed” about how his health problems started and how he found out he had cancer.
Andy Detwiler said in the video, which he made with his wife and daughter, that he had trouble swallowing food since 2019 and was told he had oesophageal cancer in early 2020.ย He also said that his fans were worried about his health before he got the diagnosis. Some of them even said that he had lost weight and looked weak.
Andy told her at the time that he was putting his food in a blender and grinding it up so he could eat it.ย In Andy Detwiler’s obituary, it says, “Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Champaign County, P.O. Box 38125, Urbana, Ohio 43078.”
