The organizers of the tournament, Mashal Sports, announced the schedule for the first half of the PKL season 9. The first Sage of Season 9 is set to begin on October 7, 2022 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru with matches starting daily at 7:30 pm. The tournament will then move into Shree Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune on October 27th for its second round.

This season, the league is ready to welcome back Kabaddi fans into the stadium and book them a treat. There will be a big opening with triplets in the first three days of the season. In the published schedule of the first 66 games, each game is unique and within the first two days, fans will be able to watch the twelve teams play a match. Fans will also be entertained with triplets every Friday and Saturday, through the PKL season 9.
Season 9 kicks off with the return of Season 8 champions, Dabang Delhi K.C. Begin their campaign in opposition to U Mumba on October 7. This will be followed by the first Southern Derby of the league’s season in Game Two, starring the Bengaluru Bulls and the Telugu Titans. U.P. Yoddhas will play Jaipur Pink Panthers in the final match on Day 1.

Dabang Delhi K.C lifted the Pro Kabaddi League season 8 trophy after defeating Patna Pirates 37-36 in Bengaluru. This was the maiden title win for Dabang Delhi K.C in the Pro Kabaddi League. On the other hand, Patna Pirates have secured the title for record three times in the history of Pro Kabaddi League.
