The group stage of the 2022 Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals took place in Bologna, Glasgow, Hamburg, and Valencia from September 13–18.
From November 22 to November 27, Malaga will host the Davis Cup Finals knockout stage.

Group B- Spain vs Korea, Republic: 3-0
Following Roberto Bautista-6-1, Agut’s 6-3 victory against Hong Seong Chan, World Number One Carlos Alcaraz defeated Soonwoo Kwon 6-4, 7-6 to win the match.
By defeating Nam Ji Sung and Song Min-Kyu 7-5, 3-6, 6-1, Marcel Granollers and Pedro Martinez made sure they won by a landslide.
The top three teams in Group B all had equal records at the end—two victories and one loss—with Serbia going home and Canada moving on after the latter team won five games to their competitors’ four.
Group A- Italy vs Sweden: 2-1
At the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy, the group’s host, defeated Sweden 2-1 to complete the season unblemished.
Matteo Berrettini of Italy and Mikael Ymer of Sweden each won their respective singles matches to break the tie.
Croatia advanced as the second-placed team in the group after Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini defeated Andre Goransson and Dragos Nicolae Madaras 7-6, 6-2. Croatia finished second last year.
Group C- Australia vs Germany: 1-2
Germany and Australia, who had both secured their spots in the quarterfinals in Group C, faced off in Hamburg’s Am Rothenbaum to determine group standing.
Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff and Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis split the singles rubber wins.
Germany’s Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz defeated Australia’s Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in the crucial doubles match, 6-4, 6-4.
Group D- Great Britain vs Kazakhstan: 2-1
At the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, two teams from Group D that had already been eliminated—Britain and Kazakhstan—met to compete for honour.
Following a tie in the singles matches, the decisive doubles match was a drawn-out contest. Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski of Great Britain defeated Alexander Bublik and Aleksandr Nedovyesov in three tiebreak sets, 7-6, 6-7, and 7-6, to give Great Britain a 2-1 victory.
