The song is a rendition of a catchphrase created by a platform user named Britt Barbie. Brit initially posted a video, where she is seen saying, “Period Uhh Period Ahh!” after every sentence.
The original video went viral and was loved by so many viewers as they found the catchphrase is quite hilarious.

The bizarre song has now gone viral as many famous celebrities are making duet videos on the short video sharing platform.
Britt Barbie’s “Period Ahh” Song
On August 20, Barbie took to her TikTok account and posted the song. In the video she was heard saying the phrase in different accents.
Later the video went viral and received millions of views. Following that many celebrities hopped on the trend including, as Baby Tate, who created a duet on the song, making it even more popular.
As the song became so much popular, people started demanding the full version of it which prompted Britt to release an extended version of it.
What’s the Meaning of the phrase?
In the catchphrase, ‘Period’ is used to signify the conclusion of a statement while ‘ah’ sound is an expression that has been popularised by African American artists and Hip Hop stars who frequently add the phrase in their songs and raps.
The original video created by Britt has received more than 22 million views and over 2.7 million likes on TikTok alone.
Aside from Baby Tate, many other social media stars such as Alyssa McKay, Bebe Rexha and Chloe Bailey, have created their own duet versions of the video.
While fulfilling the wish of their fans, Brit released the full version of the song on YouTube and now fans have started asking to launch a full version of her rendition as well.
This isn’t the first time that Britt went viral, back in February this year she uploaded a video while talking about her hair growth.
At the time, pointing at her scalp she said, “Just found something out, I never knew that your hair grows from up here. I never knew that.”
She further added while pointing at the end of her hair, “I always thought that your hair grows from right here. Is there hair in my head? Like actually like in there? Where is it coming from? Like, I’m scared for real. I don’t know… Is it like in my forehead?!”
Her video also went viral and got over 400K views while garnering 30K likes.
