Mumbai City FC defeated Mohammedan Sporting Club by a single goal in the first semifinal of the 131st Durand Cup on Wednesday at Salt Lake Stadium thanks to a goal from Bipin Singh in the final minute of regular time. Following this win, Mumbai City have advanced to the final, where they will take on either Bengaluru or Hyderabad.

2022 Durand Cup Mumbai City FC vs Mohammedan FC Results, Score, Winner, And Bengaluru FC vs Hyderabad FC Semi-final Preview
The first semi-final between Mohammedan SC and Mumbai City was a close game, with Mohammedan Sporting enjoying some moments of dominance before Mumbai City FC scored the winner in the 90th minute to advance to the final match in its inaugural appearance in the competition. Greg Stewart of Scotland and Lallianzuala Chhangte, combined beautifully to set up Bipin Singh for the goal.
In the title match, which is slated for Sunday, Mumbai City FC will face victor of the second semifinal between Bengaluru FC and Hyderabad FC, the defending ISL champions. To set up this thrilling match, Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan 3-1 in the quarterfinals, and Bengaluru FC defeated Odisha FC 2-1 after extra time in another tightly contested quarterfinal. Currently, Bengaluru FC is one of just two teams that are yet to lose a match in this year’s Durand Cup and hence, they are considered favorites to advance to the final.
