Kohli is now at par with Ricky Ponting at the second position in the list of batters with the highest number of international centuries.

Every batter’s ultimate milestone is to score a century. Scoring a century on a regular basis is impossible and few players have made a habit of scoring them regularly. Virat Kohli is one such player.

The Top 10 list is currently filled with retired cricketers except for Virat Kohli. This will however, change soon as a number of current batters are closing in on the list.

Batters like Joe Root (44), David Warner (43), and Rohit Sharma (41) are pretty close to the Top 10 List. In fact, all of them also have high chances of hitting 50 international centuries.

However, for the upcoming batters, scoring centuries could prove more difficult. Excluding the Test cricket format, the other two formats now see impactful contributions as a more necessary requirement. Hence, players could opt to play with a different approach in the future.
