A horrifying video of Washington Commanders’ rookie running back Brian Robinson went viral as the video shows Robinson being shot twice by armed robbers.

The shooting incident occurred following an attempted robbery on Sunday in Washington, D.C., according to a police spokesperson.

Luckily, Robison was awake and alert while being treated by paramedics for some flesh wounds after he was shot twice.

The Horrifying incident

Brian Robinson was shot by robbers twice as they struggled over his Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. The car costs around $100k and as apparently the target of the two robbers.

Following the incident, Robinson was taken to a hospital where his injuries were stated as “non-life-threatening injuries.”

Brian Robinson Has Everyone Beside Him

According to a team spokesperson, co-owners Dan and Tanya Snyder, President Jason Wright, Coach Ron Rivera, team physician Dr. Anthony Casolaro and clinical psychologist Dr. Barbara Roberts were all at the hospital with Robinson.

Coach Rivera said in a tweet Sunday night: “I just got done visiting w/Brian. He is in good spirits and wanted me to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers & support. He wants his teammates to know he appreciates them all for reaching out and he loves them all & will be back soon doing what he does best.”

According to Dustin Sternbeck, the director of communications for the Washington Metro PD, the shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. ET in the 1000 block of H Street, NE, in the district.

The Incident Will Undergo Further Investigation

The police were quickly able to locate Robinson after arriving on the scene. According to Sternbeck, he was suffering from “a couple gunshot wounds to his lower extremities.” Following the findings, they immediately took him to a local hospital.

Sternbeck stated that the police have identified two potential suspects in the incident and have also recovered a firearm a short distance from where the incident initially took place. He further stated that authorities are still not sure if Robinson was the victim of a carjacking or just an armed robbery attempt.

The incident is still under ongoing investigation, and the good news is that Robinson will likely make a full recovery.
