England vs India 2021: Indian Cricketers To Be Administered COVID Vaccine Second Dose On July 7 Ahead Of Test Series

Ahead of the matches played by team India in the test series against England, Indian cricketers including Virat Kohli are soon going to get second COVID vaccine

July 7 and July 9 have been finalized as the shot dates.

Team India including Captain Virat Kohli are presently on a break in England, United Kingdom. They will be playing five matches in UK. Before leaving for UK, team India cricketers received the first dose of COVID vaccine and soon they are going to get COVID vaccine second dose. For minimum gap between the two doses, team India chose Covisheild as their vaccine.

All team India cricketers have been given the first shot of COVID vaccine almost a month back, now there are ready for their second dose. 7th of July and 9th of July that is “Wednesday” and “Friday” has been finalized as the vaccination days for the Indian cricketers including certain cricket officials in England. These all players and officials are going to get Covishield as their second dose because they got the first jab for the same as well.

After the second shot of COVID vaccine, team India players are going to be in quarantine again in Durham. This quarantine will begin on 14th July 2021. This quarantine will end on the warm-up game days of team India that is from 20th to 22nd July 2021. BCCI has asked Wales and English cricket boards to arrange practice sessions before beginning of final test matches. The test matches are going to begin from 4th August 2021.

On Tuesday, England cricket team officials confirmed that seven of their team members have tested positive for the virus and are under quarantine. Out of these 7 members, 3 are players whereas 4 are staff members of the England cricket team.

Also the officials stated that now all people who tested positive are under self-isolation and has requested others to get tested as well. Everything is functioning under the COVID protocols designed by the government of United Kingdom regarding COVID.
