Tekken Bloodline Anime Characters, Cast And Voice Actor List

Today, Aug 21 marks the release of highly anticipated anime, Tekken: Bloodline and reportedly streaming platform Netflix’s adaptation will follow the plot of the critically acclaimed video game, Tekken 3.

Viewers favourite, Jin Kazama will be in the central figure of the series as fans follow his journey that begins after the passing of his mother, Jun.

After the passing of Jun, he was taken in by his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima, where he continues his training to become a worthy martial artist to exact vengeance against villainous Ogre by competing in The King of Iron Fist Tournament.

The teaser of the anime has already been released and has been watched a total of 6 million times combined. Here are details on who will voice the characters of the anime.

Who will voice the characters in Tekken: Bloodline Anime ?

Many adored characters from the video game are set to make an appearance in the anime, and a couple of popular Japanese voice actors from the games are returning with them.

Although a few characters remained unconfirmed, here are the ones that you are definitely going to see.

Jin Kazama

The main and lead characters for most of the video games were Jin Kazama, who has been at the forefront of the franchise since he appeared in 1997.

The anime will follow the rise of Jin, from a young boy who’s doing training under his mother to his vengeance mission after his mother murdered.

Since the inception of his character, he has been voiced by notable voice actor Isshin Chiba, who’s famous for recording numerous anime series, films and video games.

Jun Kazama

Mother of the protagonist, Jun, first appeared in the video game, Tekken 2. In the anime, she serves as Jin’s initial trainer, raising him on her own.

Jun will be voiced by actress and singer Mamiko Noto, who has been behind the voice of the same character since Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in 2013.

Heihachi

Although he was considered as a protagonist in the original Tekken, Heihachi is the central antagonist for much of the franchise.

He has appeared in every released main game. He is the father of Kazuya Mishima and grandfather of our protagonist i.e, Jin Kazama. He will be voiced by voice-actor Taiten Kusunoki.

Kazuya Mishima

Kazyua was the main protagonist of the first video game, but he has gone on to become one of the most popular antagonists of all time.

He entered the tournament to carry out his revenge on his abusive father, Heihachi. The character will be voiced by the voice-actor Masanori Shinohara, who has been voicing the same character since Tekken 4 in 2001.

Hwoarang

He is a South Korean Taekwondo expert. Who has been a mainstay in the franchise ever since his first appearance in the popular Tekken 3.

He joined the tournament with the mission to improve himself and become the best fighter he can be. The character of Hwoarang has been voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa since 1997.

Ling Xiaoyu

Xiaoyu is one of the most popular female video game fighters. She has been praised for her unique abilities, skills, personality and strength. She became friends with Jin and shared a special relationship with Heihachi.

Since her first appearance in 2011, she has been voiced by Maaya Sakamoto.

Paul Phoenix

Like Heihachi, Phoenix is also one of only a few characters to appear in every main Tekken video game. He joins the tournament to defeat his old rival, Kazuya. He will be voiced by Hลtchลซ ลŒtsuka.

Nina

She is the longest-standing female character in the video game. She had appeared as a playable character in all of the main video games.

Nina is all about working for the highest-paying contract and she holds no respect for anyone. She will be voiced by Yumi Tลma, who’s been behind the character voice since her debut in video game in 1994.

Julia Chang

Environmentalist and archaeologist Julia is shown as a Native American character. Chang first debuted in Tekken 3. She was adopted by Michelle Chang and raised by her in her tribe.

She joins the tournament to rescue her mother, whom Julia believes is being held by Heihachi. She has been voiced by Seiko Yoshida.

The trailer of the Bloodline teases more characters for the anime, including the fan-favourite Mexican Wrestler, King and primary antagonist Ogre. However, the voice actors behind these are yet to be announced.
