On November 22, 2019, at Eden Gardens, Kohli last hit a century in an international cricket match against Bangladesh with the Barmy Army quick to remind him about the 1000 days on Twitter
Virat Kohli, a former captain of India and renowned hitter, has gone a whole 1000 days without tallying a century in international cricket. Barmy Army, a follower of the England Cricket Team, attempted to trolly Kohli on social media as the cricketing world waits for his 71st century. An Indian fan responded with a suitable retort.

Indian fans respond back
An Indian fan published the number of days since England’s last series victory over India in all forms of cricket in India, they received a dose of their own medicine.
England took16108 days to win the global championship of the sport they developed. That too on a boundary count because of overthrows that were deflected. Another fan remarked.

Amit Mishra once hit back at Barmy Army
Amit Mishra, a seasoned Indian spinner, has criticised the infamous British fan group for making unwarranted fun of Indian sportsmen.
The Barmy Army once made fun of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar on his birthday and then declared victory for England in a series that ultimately finished in a draw after the home team won the fifth Test match at Birmingham as scheduled. Both times, Mishra brutally put an end to them.

Asia Cup- Do or Die for Kohli?
Kohli only took part in one assignment for India after playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the trip of England, which ended on a dismal note. The star batter recorded the highest score of 20 throughout the course of 6 innings. Now, Kohli is to set participate in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 from August 27 in the UAE.
India’s Asia Cup campaign will kick off with a tantalising match against archrival Pakistan.
