TikTok star Ophelia’s son, Randon, was shot dead just a day before his 19th birthday. After week’s of investigation, a suspect named Reuben came forward and surrendered himself to the Mobile County Metro Jail.
Who’s Ophelia Nichols?
Ophelia Nichols is a TikTok celebrity who enjoys a fanbase of more than 8 million followers on the platform.
She previously went by the name “Mam Tot,” later she changed her username to her real name. She can be found on TikTok under the handle @shoelover99.
Most of TikTok star’s content revolves around mental health and self-love. Aside from being on TikTok, she also joined YouTube in the previous year i.e, 2021. She has been making the content for the platform ever since.
Her LinkedIn profile reads that she became a social media ambassador in 2014.
Information About Randon Lee Murder Case?
According to a report by Fox news, the TikTok star’s son, Randon was shot on June 24 at a gas station in Prichard.
As per investigators, the incidents took place after Randon hader 2 people to sell them marijuana.
Later, on Aug 4, a warrant was released for 20-year-old Reuben and on Aug 19, he surrendered himself to the Mobile County Metro Jail on a murder charge.
However, it is still unclear whether the investigators believe Reuben was the shooter. An arraignment has been scheduled for him to take place on Tuesday, Aug 23 after a Judge denied his bond request.
Ophelia Nichols breaks her silence
TikTok star Ophelia Nicholas released a video on the platform in which she noted that she was “grateful but not happy.”
She thanked people for their support but also asked them to stop tagging her in any videos or news regarding the arrest.
In the video she said, “when I saw the mugshot, I thought “he is just a baby.” She also expressed how she did not want Reubin’s family to suffer as it was a situation not under their control.
She further continued, “Neither of our children should have been there that night.” She ended the video by stating that she hopes for justice while reminding the others that there are 2 families that are hurting at the moment and not just one.
