Busy schedule of USA Basketball team ahead of The Olympics
The Tokyo Olympics 2021 is slated to begin on July 23 and this also implies the return of the American basketball. The ongoing NBA season has been shortened and stretched till mid-July. So, its a busy schedule for the players, as they won’t get enough time between when the NBA season ends and when the Olympics begin.
Due to this reason, many legendary players won’t be participating in the marquee event this year. It has been noticed that as the NBA season has been shortened has also led to many players injuring themselves.
During the 2016 Summer Olympics, the USA Basketball team had won a gold medal. But during the 2004 Summer Olympics, this was the only time the team couldn’t win a gold medal despite the fact that the team had young players like Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony. And since then, during the Olympics the team had won three gold medals in men’s basketball, in which they have won a total of 24 games.
