On the first day of the inaugural season of Ultimate Kho Kho, Gujrat Giants beat Mumbai Khiladis 69-44. Telugu Yoddhas beat Chennai Quick Guns 48-38 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.

Gujarat Giants captain Ranjan Shetty won the toss and decided to defend first. Mumbai Khiladis started the power-play with the first three- Mareppa, Vinayak Pokarde and Akshay Bhangare however, Gujarat Giants managed to pick them all three in less than two minutes. Mumbai Khiladi dominated the match’s opening round with a 22-2 mark.
Gujarat Giants stepped up in the second run and finished the first inning with a 26-24 lead. At the start of the opening seven minutes of the second run, Mumbai Khiladis picked up the lead with a score of 44-30. However, the Gujarat completely dominated in the decisive final run which allowed them to win a massive 39-point victory.

Telugu Yoddhas defeated Chennai Quick Guns 48-38 in the second game of the opening day
In the second game of the opening day, Telugu Yoddhas defeated Chennai Quick guns by 10 points. Telugu Yoddhas took a 29-15 lead in the first inning.

Chennai Quick guns, on the other hand, tried everything for the comeback but ended up losing. Chennai Quick Guns scored 23 points in the second inning but Telugu Yoddhas already maintained a 19-point lead to claim the victory.
