Fans have found a potential solution to a problem where the FIFA 23 closed beta is crashing and just not working on PS5
The closed beta is now available for a small group of players on PlayStation and Xbox.
The lovely game of this year looks fantastic. The Women’s Super League is now available, EA has greatly improved Player Career Mode, and Hypermotion 2 appears to be incredibly realistic.
Thanks to the closed demo, some users have been allowed to play a few modes since yesterday, but others who obtained valid codes are unable to play because of bugs.
How To Fix FIFA 23 Closed Beta Keeps Crashing Error Bugs For PS5
For everyone that has FIFA 23 beta on PS5 that keeps crashing it’s a bug tied to the number of friends you have. You need to have less than 100 friends for it to work, delete friends and it will start working #FIFA23 #PS5 #fifa23beta pic.twitter.com/sN63S1FD8y

Lots of FIFA 23 players on PS5 are reporting that the beta is not working as it keeps crashing, and the only way to fix this is by having fewer than 100 friends on your console. This fix doesn't come from EA Help, but it has been shared by Virtual Pro Gaming pic.twitter.com/Za7pzUptia

FIXING FIFA 23 Beta’s Crashes and Unresponsiveness
Many FIFA 23 PS5 players are complaining that the beta is unstable and crashes frequently. The only way to resolve this is to have fewer than 100 buddies on your system.
Although it wasn’t provided by EA Help, Virtual Pro Gaming did provide this remedy. Numerous additional Twitter users have also asserted that it resolves the problem, however, it is unclear why.
Unfortunately, if you have more than 100 pals on PS5, you must erase them. How to delete friends is described below:
- Start your PS5
- Select Game Base
- Click See All Friends
- Select a friend’s profile
- Click the three dots icon
- Choose to Remove as a Friend
The only other option you have if having fewer than 100 friends doesn’t fix the issue is to report it to EA Help.
On September 1st, the FIFA 23 closed beta would come to an end.
Although the delivery of the second round of invitations is unconfirmed, they are expected on August 24. Anyone who has requested a code but not yet got one can log into their EA account and take the following actions to possibly be invited to round two:
- Open your EA account
- Change region to either United Kingdom or the United States
- Proceed to email preferences
- Check the box, Yes, email me about products, news…
- Under preferred games, select FIFA 22, FIFA 21, FIFA 20, FIFA Competitive Gaming, Ultimate Team, FIFA Mobile and more if you wish
- Choose your preferred platform between either PlayStation and Xbox
- Select update
