She assisted Singapore in sweeping the women’s team, singles, and doubles competitions at the Birmingham Games this year, earning three gold medals in the process.
The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) stated on Monday that Feng’s overall medal total also makes her the most decorated table tennis player in the Games (Aug 8).

Who Is Feng Tianwei?
Feng Tianwei is a well-known table tennis player in Singapore. She has recently been in the news because she became the most decorated table tennis player in Commonwealth Games 2022.
She was born in Heilongjiang, Heilongjiang, the People’s Republic of China on August 31, 1986. She is the sole child of department store worker Li Chunping and granary worker Feng Qingzhi.
In order to play in the Japanese professional league, she left China in 2005. In 2006, Liu Guodong, then a coach with the Singapore Table Tennis Association, noticed her there. She received an invitation to train in Singapore in March 2007 as part of the Foreign Sports Talent Scheme.
In January 2008, she was granted citizenship in Singapore. She stands 1.64 m tall (5 ft 5 in). She is 35 years old at the moment and is unmarried.

Her Career
Feng Tianwei competed in the Olympic Games for Singapore for the first time at the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008. The Singaporean team, which included Feng and her colleagues Li Jiawei and Wang Yuegu, won the silver medal on August 15, 2008.
She won the bronze medal in women’s singles after defeating Japanese opponent Kasumi Ishikawa 4-0 at the London 2012 Summer Olympics. She later defeated South Korea in the women’s team competition and took home the bronze medal alongside Li and Wang.
At the 2015 Asian Cup in Jaipur, she defeated Zhu Yuling and Liu Shiwen to win the title of Asian Cup Champion for the first time. She later defeated Ding Ning, the Olympic gold winner and former world number one, 3-2 in the Chinese Table Tennis Super League.
Feng Tianwei won the 2019 German Open on October 11th, defeating Chen Meng, the world’s top-ranked player at the time, in 4 consecutive games. Now, she won the 3 gold medals at Commonwealth Games 2022 Birmingham.
