Despite an increase in prize money, the winner in Washington namely Nick Kyrgios will still earn $342,800, a slight decrease of 2.27 per cent from the previous year.
Instead, the early rounds had more compensation than the previous year. For instance, the prize money for second-round losers is $26,095, which is an increase of 7.37 per cent over 2021.
