Sreeja Akulaโs Education And Training
Sreeja Akula trained herself at Hyderabad school of Table Tennis which has produced players like Mir Khasim Ali who won the national title in the year 1964 and was the only champion from the city for some time. Later on, Sreeja improved her game and defeated Mouma Das. In 2019, she became the first woman to bag a gold medal at National Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, Haryana. She defeated Sutirtha Mukherjee from Haryana in this tournament.

Sreeja Akula entered the national table tennis championship competition, ranked number 1, and produced some dominating performances on the court. These performances subsequently made the best results for her and Sreeja also bagged the doubles title in the same tournament with her fellow player Ayhika Mukherjee. She said that the reason why they won doubles tournaments as they share a good bond and these two players belong to two different cities of India.

Sreeja Akula was selected to play for women in blue along with players Manika Batra, Suthrita Mukherjee, and Diya Chitale in the Commonwealth Games of 2022. She has reached the quarter-finals along with Manika Batra. She will be competing against Mo Zhang during the quarter-finals.
