Monday will see the release of the India team squad for the forthcoming Asia Cup T20 2022 tournament by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) (August 8)
The 15-member Indian team for the upcoming major event, which will take place in the UAE, will be decided by the selectors at a physical meeting scheduled for Mumbai the following week. Later this month, the United Arab Emirates will play host to the 2022 Asia Cup T20 event, which Sri Lanka will host.

The six-team competition was originally slated to take place in the island country, but due to their inability to organise the event because of the ongoing political and economic turmoil, it was moved to the UAE, with the Sri Lanka Cricket Board keeping the hosting rights.
Date. Venue, Teams and Name submission dead line for Asia Cup
In the main competition, which begins on August 27, the participants will include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and one qualifier. The tournament’s schedule has already been released, and at least two of the games between India and Pakistan are the event’s centrepiece.
If the two bitter rivals manage to finish in the top two, which is nearly a guarantee given that the third club in the group will be a qualifier, they will first face off against one another on August 28 in Dubai and then again on September 4 at the same location.
The BCCI is anticipated to declare the players on Monday, which is also the submissions deadline.
Arshdeep Singh and KL Rahul are likely to be in the team
The current five-match T20I series against the West Indies ends on Sunday (August 7), and the BCCI will announce the lineup on Monday, according to a source in InsideSport.
The website has provided information indicating that the selection committee will meet in person in Mumbai and be joined through video conference by Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. Arshdeep Singh, a teenage bowler for the Punjab Kings who played his maiden T20I against England last month and has been in all three T20Is against the West Indies so far, is almost certainly a lock for the team.
Senior top-order batsman KL Rahul will also be in the team, but he won’t go to Dubai until he passes the fitness test.
