Four-time national champion Tulika, 22, advanced to the semifinals of the women’s 78+ kg division by defeating Mauritius’ Tracy Durhone in the quarterfinals.
Tulika Maan beat Sydnee Andrews of New Zealand in the semifinal match in about three minutes. She then competed in the final against Sarah Adlington of Scotland.
With Maan’s silver medal, India now has 16 total medals, including five gold and six silver. Since she won the medal, she has become a hot topic of conversation on various social media platforms with many people praising her skills and talent.

Who Is Tulika Mann?
Tulika Mann is an Indian Judoka who is recently in news for winning the silver medal in women’s judo +78kg in the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022.
She was born on 9 September 1998 in New Delhi. Her father died when she was young and her mother’s name is Arpita Mann who is an assistant sub-inspector at the Delhi police.
She did her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya Tagore Garden (Delhi) and later went to DDU Gorakhpur University for further studies.
Approximately six years ago, Tulika Mann was accepted into the Sports Authority of India Center in Bhopal, where she began training with Solanki, a former India international and Arjuna Awardee who quit his position as a state intelligence officer to become a coach.
She is almost 6 feet tall. Presently, she is 23 years old. She receives guidance from Sharma Jiwan Kumar.
Her Career
Tulika Mann, an Indian judoka, has won several gold medals at the senior national level in India. Maan is also an Indian junior national silver medalist. Tulika has participated in the IJF World Tour since 2019.
At the Asian Open in Taipei, she won bronze. She triumphed at the Commonwealth Games in Jaipur in 2018. She participated in the Worlds in Tokyo after making her debut at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest. In Walsall, she won the Commonwealth title in 2019.
At the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Tulika Mann won a silver medal.
