Beyoncé is being asked to modify another line, only one day after stating she would remove an ableist slur from her brand-new song, Heated.
Beyoncé removed the ableist slur on Tuesday, August 2, according to a spokesman for the singer, after the uproar, but even now Bey is facing new criticism.
Many people believed the lyrics discriminated against those with spastic diplegia, a kind of cerebral palsy that affects the motor function of the legs or arms.
Monica Lewinsky Demands Beyoncé To Change The Lyrics Of A Song.
Former White House staffer and American activist Monica Lewinsky has urged that Beyoncé take down a lyric that mentions her as well.
What does the line “Monica Lewinsky’d on my gown” signify in Bey’s 2013 song Partition, which she is requesting the singer of Break My Soul start by removing?
What Does The Partition Lyric By Monica Lewinsky Mean?
The phrase alludes to the 1990s sex scandal involving Monica Lewinsky and then-president Bill Clinton. Lewinsky was a 24-year-old intern in the White House when Clinton and Hillary were married.
The president swore under oath at a speech in January 1998 to deny having “sexual relations” with Lewinsky. Nevertheless, he acknowledged engaging in “inappropriate personal physical contact.”
On December 19, 1998, Bill Clinton was found to have committed 11 crimes, including perjury, obstructing the course of justice, tampering with witnesses, and abuse of authority. His connection with Lewinsky was described in vivid detail in the impeachment report.
These included the admission that Monica Lewinsky informed a friend in November 1997 who claimed she always had a blue dress with a stain from sexual relations with Clinton in February of that same year, according to Famous Trials.
Lewinsky signed an immunity bargain and gave Kenneth Starr’s investigators the garment in July 1998. To a “reasonable degree of scientific confidence,” the FBI came to the conclusion that Clinton was the cause of the clothing stain.
And we #beyonce fans can say what the f**k we wanna say if #monicalewinsky had a problem with the song she should’ve spoke out 10 years ago. She was a full grown ass woman who slept with a married man she is no f**king victim the only victim in this scandal was Hillary Clinton. https://t.co/neBfAlER6u

Lizzo Fixes Track Grrrls’ Ableist Slur
The controversy over Beyoncé’s phrase comes shortly after Lizzo, whose song Grrrls premiered at the beginning of June used the same ableist term.
She soon rewrote the lyrics and re-released the song, which is a part of her latest album, Special, much like the singer of Lemonade.
On June 13, the 34-year-old also posted a public apology on Instagram, posting, “It has been brought to my attention that there is a harmful word in my new song GRRRLS.” Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote the derogatory language. As a fat black woman in America, I’ve had many hurtful words used against me, so I understand the power words can have. ”
This is how you do accountability. I’ve been quiet on this bc I wanted to see what she would say & do (& I had nothing to add that wasn’t already said). The derogatory term is out of the song so go stream #Grrrls & love on @lizzo extra today. She’s modeling how to get it right. https://t.co/qeBMyZhSUA

The singer continued by saying she was “listening and taking action” and that a new version of the song with a lyric modification was being published.
She concluded by saying, “As an influential artist, I am dedicated to being part of the change I have been waiting to see in the world.”
Yes! Trevor Noah!
Lizzo did nothing wrong & was gracious enough to change her song. Amazing! #trevornoah#Lizzo #grrrls #betweenthescenes #music https://t.co/ksPw6KxUE8— Famous Lass Words (@FamousLassWords) July 18, 2022
