She was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India, on August 24, 1982 and is a Punjabi.
Director Prakash Kovelamudi was Kanika’s first spouse; they were divorced in 2017. She tied the knot with Himanshu Sharma in January 2021.
Kanika Dhillon received her undergraduate degree from Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College. She afterwards went on to the London School of Economics to get her master’s degree.
She migrated to Mumbai, Maharashtra, after completing her graduation. She is currently 39 years old.
Her Career
She began working as a script supervisor for Shah Rukh Khan’s production business Red Chillies Entertainment not long after graduation. She then worked as an assistant director on the 2007 movie “Om Shanti Om” for the firm.
Kanika Dhillon began writing for two television programs after serving as a script supervisor for another of the company’s productions, the comedy-drama “Billu” (2009), including the NDTV Imagine sitcom “Ghar Ki Baat Hai” (2009) and the Disney India kids’ program “Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De” (2010–2011).
