Since its inclusion in the first Commonwealth Games in 1930, lawn bowls has been one of the games’ most established sports. With 20 gold medals each, England and Scotland have had the most success in the sport. India has yet to win a medal in lawn bowls, making Malaysia and Hong Kong the only Asian countries to do so. Australia dominated and won four of the eight available gold medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

CWG 2022 Lawn Bowls Events, Indian Contingent, Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
One of the sports taking place at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in England is lawn bowls. Lawn bowls has been a part of every Commonwealth Games since 1966, and this will be the third time it has been played in England specifically. The competition will span eleven events, including three parasport competitions, from July 29 to August 6, 2022. For Lawn Bowls, a competition that has been a component of the Commonwealth Games since their debut in 1930, India has committed a sizeable team.
On July 29, India’s campaign will get underway with matches against Malaysia and England for the men’s pairs and women’s fours teams, respectively. On the same day, the men’s triples team will compete against New Zealand. The Victoria Park bowling greens in Leamington Spa will host the Lawn Bowls competition at the Commonwealth Games in 2022.
