I don’t care if Prince William indulges in extra marital affairs. I don’t care if he likes a bit of pegging. I do care though that he and his wife used Meghan as a distraction from their lives being talked about. #PrinceWilliamAffair #PrinceOfPegging

What Does Twitter’s “Prince Of Pegging” Mean?
On Twitter, the trending hashtag “Prince of Pegging” makes fun of a male celebrity engaging in the pegging conduct. The practice has quickly become a cultural phenomenon, with the hashtag currently being the most frequently searched term on the social networking platform.
We won’t be discussing its significance, but you should be aware that Deadpool, The Bold Type, Broad City, and other films and television programmes have all made mention of the practice. An article that won first place in Dan Savage’s “Savage Love” column helped to spread the phrase online for the first time.
What Started The Hashtag?
The hashtag was created by the Instagram user DeuxMoi in response to a tip from an unnamed person on social media. According to the submission, an unidentified celebrity was supposedly interested in the act.
The rumour was then attached to a prince by Twitter, who then decided to take it and spin it into a new shape. It’s reasonable to say that the viral article has swept the internet, as seen by the 400% increase in Google searches for the term.
Many social media users are either perplexed by the trend or regret having spent the effort to learn more about the practice.
What Is DeuxMoi?
Celebrity rumours are posted on the 1.5 million-follower Instagram account DeuxMoi. The information provided by the account is often regarded as a source of fun rather than anything remotely factual because all rumours are unconfirmed and anyone may make up a story and send it in.
According to their Instagram, the account spreads rumours based on user submissions to their social media channels that have not been confirmed. The outlet notes in its bio that “statements made by this account have not been independently authenticated. This account does not claim that any disclosed material is based on fact,” it says.
The site was first used as a fashion blog maintained by two friends when it was first founded in 2013, DeuxMoi confirmed in an interview from 2020. DeuxMoi is now working on her debut book, Anon Pls, a dramatised memoir about a fashion worker who becomes famous thanks to a social media presence akin to DeuxMoi.
