A man who worked alongside Moore was a hacker named Charlie Evans, who helped him gain access to more content for his website.
Who’s Charlie Evans?
Charlie Evans was a hacker hired by Moore to gain more images.
However, Evans the way he was doing this work was not by any means legal, as the then 26-year-old hacker was hacking into women’s email accounts to gain more access to their nude photographers.
Among one of their victims was Kayla Law, whose named photos ended up on their website despite the fact that she never sent it to anybody but herself via mail.
This was when her mother Charlotte Law, a former private investigator, took the matters into her own hands.
Later, when Charlotte finally managed to get the FBI involved in the case, then Evans was eventually caught by Agent Jeff Kirkpatrick.
Agent Kirkpatrick caught Evans by discovering his email address and tracking it back to his name. Later, it was discovered that Evans was being paid $200 a week to hack into women’s emails accounts.
He was eventually sentenced to 25 months in prison after pleading guilty to unauthorized access to a computer system to obtain information and aggregated identity theft.
In a 2015 Interview, Evans opened up about how and why he got involved with Hunter Moore.
In his interview with CNN, he said he went ahead with Moore because, “the job would mean money. I was in a bad place. Just out of rehab. Staying at home for about eight months. I got fired from my job for drinking”.
He also revealed that he met Moore in the same way he did these women, which is by hacking him.
The 38-year-old (now) released a statement for his victims as, “Nothing I can say is going to be enough. I mean, when I’m out, I daydream a lot.
And I’ve thought about, when I’m out [of prison], if I can meet some of them and look at them and it just terrifies me. It’s just disgust in myself”.
Evans whereabouts in 2022 is unknown. He can’t be found anywhere on social media. The crime that he did with Moore most likely is the reason that he is keeping his name out of the spotlight.
As he only received the sentence for 25 months prison, he would have been released by 2017 which means he is no longer in jail.
