UFC Fight Night 208 Full Fight Card Winner And Results
Tom Aspinall’s knee injury against Curtis Blaydes in the main event of UFC Fight Night 208 was the second consecutive week that an injury terminated a UFC main event. Aspinall crumpled to the ground clutching his knee after Blaydes blocked a leg kick with a powerful punch as the heavyweights were just beginning to trade blows.
In addition to being a serious setback for Aspinall, who hoped to earn his sixth consecutive victory and move up in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, it was also another depressing outcome for the UFC audience after Brian Ortega was stopped by a dislocated shoulder against Yair Rodriguez at UFC Long Island earlier this week.
For Blaydes, who won by TKO in the main event of the Saturday event at The O2 in London, the official time of stoppage was 0:15 of the first round. As Blaydes conducted his post-fight interview, cage-side medical staff placed Aspinall in a leg brace and removed him from the octagon. Although the American had won the octagon three times in a row, he rarely showed any enthusiasm.

UFC Fight Night 208 Prizes and Fight of the Night
At UFC London, Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann were the featured athletes, and they each received bonuses for their outstanding performances. According to fight-night incentives provided by the promotion following Saturday’s bout at The O2, the buddies and teammates each received $50,000 cheques for “Performance of the Night.”
McCann enthralled the crowd with a first-round knockout of Hannah Goldy, her second successful use of the showy weapon, which was set up by a spinning back elbow. Pimblett, on the other hand, recovered from a challenging first round to rear-naked choke Jordan Leavitt. His third consecutive victory in the UFC. The duo then gathered outside the octagon to celebrate. Pimblett made an emotional post-fight plea for support of mental health, and McCann even carried her on her back. Recently, the teammates have been dominating, each winning three post-fight bonuses in as many matches.
Meanwhile, the following fighters were each awarded a bonus of $50,000:
Fight of the Night Award: NA
Performance of the Night Award: Paddy Pimblett, Nikita Krylov, Molly McCann and Jonathan Pearce
