Anurag Singh Thakur, Indian Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, felicitated the Fit India Quiz state-level winners, know the national round 2022 schedule
The felicitation took place at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in Mumbai.

Altogether, 72 students and 36 schools from across the country received cash prizes amounting to Rs. 99 lakhs in total. A total of 360 schools competed in the State Rounds, held during the months of February and March 2022.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports organised a felicitation ceremony for concluding the Fit India Quiz state-level in Mumbai on July 21.

In his address to the winners, Thakur said
Fit India Movement has gathered momentum with several initiatives and fitness campaigns such as Fit India School Week, Fit India Freedom Run, Fit India Cyclothon, and many others. 9.03 crore people have been part of this massive campaign.
The Union Minister further said,
the Fit India Quiz will promote Fit India Movement, promote awareness on sports and fitness and lead to the creation of a Healthy and Fit India in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Minister requested the students to spread the word on the Fit India Mobile app as well.
Each one of you is now an ambassador of sports and fitness,
The Youth Affairs and Sports minister reminded students that the Prime Minister launched the ‘Fit India Movement’ with the vision of making India a fit and healthy nation. He added
Khelo India and Fit India have been among the most successful campaigns in India,
The Minister further asked the students to not only think about their career streams but also about the ways in which they can contribute to the nation’s development.
He also spoke about the ongoing celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Thakur reminded the students that we need to not only think of our rights but also of our responsibilities as laid down in the constitution.
The Fit India Quiz state-level
The Fit India Quiz was launched with the aim of creating awareness about India’s rich sporting history among students. Altogether, a total of 36,299 students participated in the preliminary rounds, where 13,500 schools competed online on a platform hosted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
From this, 360 selected schools competed in the Fit India Quiz state-level rounds. The competition consisted of several rounds—quarter-final and semi-final rounds. The finalists from a range of 36 states and UTs have been identified to participate in the National Finals.
Tanay Gautam Sheth and Aakash Viswanath from P. G. Garodia School (ICSE), Mumbai, bagged the State Level Champion award at the Fit India Quiz in Maharashtra.
The prize money was awarded to 36 teams (two students in each team) of the state rounds and their school representatives. Each of these schools was awarded a sum of Rs. 2,50,000/-and the two participating students were rewarded with Rs. 12,500/-each.
Fit India Quiz National Rounds
Star Sports will telecast the National Round of the Fit India Quiz once it begins. The prize money for the national rounds of the Fit India Quiz is as follows:
Rs. 25 lakh for the champion school and Rs. 2.5 lakh for students (Rs. 1.25 lakh each).
The first runner-up will get Rs. 15 lakh (school) and Rs. 1.5 lakh (Rs. 75,000 for each student), and finally,
The second runner-up will get Rs. 10 lakh (school) and Rs. 1 lakh (Rs. 50,000 for each student).
