The tournament began on July, 12,2022 with comprised of a total 16 teams across Asia. The tournament has now advanced to the semifinals with the best four teams across Asia.
The teams that have advanced to the semi-finals:
1) Jordan
2) Australia
3) Lebanon
4) New Zealand
The tournament is being held in Istora Stadium, Indonesia. This is the 30th edition of the basketball championships ongoing in Asia ( Indonesia). A total of 16 teams were selected for the competition through the qualifiers held by FIBA. These 16 teams were then further divided into four groups with each group comprising four teams. The groups were confirmed through the draws that were held back on February 18 last year. The 30th edition of the basketball championship had returned to Istora Stadium, Indonesia nearly after a span of 30 years.
Talking about Team India, they had a bad run in this competition and were knocked out of the tournament in the group stages.
