Ethiopia showed great performances on day 4 which helped them to add three medals to its tally on Monday. Ethiopia took gold home, as Gotytom Gebreslase won the women’s marathon. In the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase event, Lamecha Girma won the silver medal for Ethiopia and in women’s 1,500 event Gudaf Tsegay added a third medal to Ethiopia’s tally by winning silver.
In the men’s high jump event, Mutaz Essa Barshim of Qatar won his third world championship in a style.
