Pawel Fajdek has been the European Champion, an Olympic bronze medal winner, multiple Polish Championship winner and Polish men’s hammer throw record holder. 32 year old Pawel Fajdek was born to mother Urszula and father Waldermar Fajdek. He has attended the academy of sports education in Warsaw.
Pawel Fajdek represented Poland in year 2008 World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, completing just off the podium at the 4th. He made a new Polish junior record of 75.31 meters with the 6 kg under-20 implement. In year 2009, his first year as a senior, Fajdek placed 8th at the European U23 Championships in Kaunas, Lithuania with a throw of 68.70 meters.
Fajdek got placed 3rd at the Polish Championships that year with a mark of 70.86, behind former Olympic and World Champion Szymon Ziolkowski. In year 2010 he grabbed another national bronze, this time with a throw of 73.85 meters. Later on that year, he improved his personal best to 76.07 mts, good enough for being the 35th in the world.
Pawel Fajdek continued to improve in year 2011, completing second at the European Team Championships in Stockholm with a new personal best of 76.98 meters. He further improved to 78.13 at Madrid, beating Primoz Kozmus of Slovenia. He was an overwhelming winner at the European U23 Championships held in Ostrava.

Pawel also dominated his specialty at the World University Games in Shenzhen, achieving the gold medal with 78.14, more than four meters ahead of silver medallist Marcel Lomnický. Fajdek is presently coached by Czesław Cybulski, who has also coached Ziolkowski and Anita Wlodarczyk.
