83 Movie On 1983 World Cup Plot And Story

The plot of the film is well-known, since it will centre on the heroes of the Indian cricket team during the 1983 World Cup. It is the narrative of how Team India stunned the entire world, led by none other than the legendary Kapil Dev.

83 is the director’s dedication to cricket, a sport with a natural ability to move and excite audiences. In this 163-minute film, the sport and its majesty take centre stage.

It starts with the Indian team gathering in England and Wales for the 1983 World Cup, and it ends with them winning it. There are no lengthy backstories for any of the characters. Kabir doesn’t bother with history lessons since he wants to appeal to as many people as possible. Any context is slipped in the back door, as when PR Man Singh tells a young Kapil Dev that we earned freedom in 1947, but not respect.

83 Box Office Collection

The movie has been sluggish at the box office owing to propaganda spread by director Kabir Khan with the movies fabricating claims of Pakistan stopping firing at the borders to let Indians watch the India vs West Indies final. The movie earned Rs.14 crore on day one and Rs.16 crore on day two.
