The 83 movie directed by Kabir Khan has managed to successfully spread its propaganda with a scene showing the Pakistan army stopping border firing to let India watch the final
What could have been a completely innocent movie, one which talked about India’s gargantuan historic triumph at the 1983 Cricket ODI World Cup fell prey to the propaganda of left leaning people.
83, the movie directed by Kabir Khan and based on the travails on the Indian cricket team in London in 1983 portrays the story of the side which lifted India’s first ever trophy at the marquee world cup. It sees Ranveer Singh portray the role of Kapil Dev, India’s captain at the time along with having scores of other actors playing India’s squad at the time.

And while the producers went all out in promotions of the movie, one scene which went viral on social media platforms made for bemusing viewing. The movie shows claims of the Pakistan army stopping firing at the border to ensure Indians and personnel of the Indian army were able to revel in India’s final against West Indies at the world cup.
While there’s no historic documentation of this fact till date and neither has such a report ever come to light, the directors of the movie decided to subtly insert the scene in a bid to glorify Pakistan. And users of social media platforms were quick to point out that this wasn’t the first time a Kabir Khan directed movie had indulged in blowing Pakistan’s horn.
