Amit, weighing 51kg, faced off against Rudyk Maksym in his bid for a spot in the quarterfinals. By the third round, Amit shifted to a defensive strategy, disorienting his Ukrainian adversary and capitalizing on errors to secure a resounding 5-0 unanimous decision triumph. Amit’s next challenge awaits in Aldarkhishig Battulga of Mongolia this Friday.

Akash, weighing 71kg, confronted Traore Makan from France. Initiating cautiously, Akash swiftly gained momentum, displaying rapid movements and unleashing a flurry of punches, surprising his opponent and establishing a significant advantage. Despite Traore’s resurgence in the third round, Akash’s earlier performance earned him a 3-1 victory, setting the stage for a showdown with Mckeever Eugene of Ireland on Friday.

Abhimanyu Loura (80kg) demonstrated similar dominance against Monny Raphael of France. Using his extended reach to his advantage, the Haryana boxer delivered devastating blows, leaving his opponent in distress. Abhimanyu secured a decisive 5-0 win and will face-off against the Asian Games gold medalist Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan with a place in the semi-final at stake.
