The end of the year is always a busy time for K-Pop and K-drama fans as the Korean industry starts rolling out award shows one after the another, know the 49th Korean Broadcasting Awards 2022 winners list
Recently, on Sunday, September 5, the 49th Korea Broadcasting Awards took place. The award show has seen massive Performances from K-Pop girl groups like (G)I-DLE and New Jeans.
The 49th award show had nominations for at least 26 titles of films, news, variety and survival programs as well as television shows broadcast in the country.

Out of which, the Korea Broadcasting Awards gave away the 18 individual awards including a Daesang (Grand Prize) to Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s Park Eun-min for her appearance in the KBS K-drama and the ‘King’s Affection’ starring SF9’s Rowoon as the main lead.
The night also saw a big win for 2PM Junho featuring The Red Sleeve and Cube Entertainment’s girl group (G)I-DLE taking the only K-Pop award of the night at their home.
Here’s the complete list of the other winners of the 2022 Korea Broadcasting Awards.
1. Best Drama Award
The 2PM Junho starrer K-drama The Red Sleeve was awarded with the Best Drama Award of 2022.
The MBC’s show was so popular at the time of its broadcast that the makers were asked to produce another special episode to meet the expectations of fans.
2. Best Video Graphics Award
The Best Video Graphics Award has been awarded to Kim Soo-kyum for the MBC’s drama ‘The Red Sleeve.’
3. Best Variety Star
The Best Variety show star award has been won by Jun Hyun-moo, who is a regular cast member on the MBC variety talk show ‘The Manager.’
The show is also widely known as “Point of Omniscient Interfere.”
It’s an observational entertainment show from MBC that uses documentary style techniques to observe the lives of the cast members who are famous celebrities and their managers.
4. Best Singer
The Best Singer Award has been won by the 5 member Cube Entertainment girl group (G)I-DLE.
The band later took to Instagram to express their gratitude for the winning award, as they penned down, “(G)I-DLE won the Best Singer Award.
Congratulations to us on winning the title thanks to Neverland (fans of (G)I-DLE). Thank you for the great love you sent. We will grow up to become greater singers for our Neverland.”
5. Best Actor
Before ENA’s ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’, Park Eun-bin appeared in the 2022 K-drama, ‘The King’s Affection’.
The award showrunners felicitated Park Eun-bin with a grand award for her acting in the KBS show.
6. Judge’s Special Award
The 49th Korea Broadcasting Award night also saw a unanimous voting for a special jury prize, the award was won by the host Song Hae.
The head of the KBS ‘National Singing Contest’, took the stage as a substitute to receive the award on the behalf of the late singer and host.
Shin Jae-dong said in his speech that, “I thought how great it would have been if Song Hae would have received the award in person.
Teacher Song Hae has been cherishing ‘National Singing Pride’ like it was his own body.”
