The 36th iteration of the National Games of India, commonly known as Gujarat 2022, will take place between September 29 and October 12, 2022, in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar in the state of Gujarat. Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar will all host games, while Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Cycling Velodrome will host the cycling-track competitions.

National Games of India 2022 Results Today, Day 3 Schedule, Event Summary, And Medal Winners
Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu won her first gold medal in women’s 49kg division in the weightlifting arena of Mahatma Mandir campus at the National Games on Friday, despite a wrist injury before her competition. Sanjita Chanu, a competitor from Manipur, and Mirabai battled it out tactically before Mirabai won with a snatch effort of 84 kg and a clean and jerk mark of 107 kg on her second tries to record a total of 191 kg. Sanjita put in a valiant effort to total 187 kg and snatched the silver medal.
Divya Kakran, a two-time bronze medalist in the 68 kg weight class at the Commonwealth Games, won her first gold medal in the new 76 kg weight class on Friday in the wrestling competition of the National Games. Prior to pinning Rani of Himachal Pradesh in the final to win, Divya defeated experienced Gursharanpreet Kaur, young Reetika, and Rohini Shivani.
Veteran archer Jayanta Talukdar won the men’s recurve ranking round at the Sanskardham archery venue of the National Games on Friday with 681 points. Gaurav Lambe (677), Mrinal Chauhan (675), Atanu Das (670), and Indra Chand (669) were the individuals who came after Talukdar. Tarundeep Rai (665), the three-time Olympian and defending champion, came in eighth, while Pravin Jadhav (663), another Olympian, came in 12th.
Bhajan Kaur (657) was the top-ranked archer in the women’s division. Preeti (653), Sangeeta (648), Komalika Bari (645), Simranjeet Kaur (645) and Dipti Kumari were next in line (645). With 631 points, Ankita Bhakat came in at number 12.

As per latest reports, West Bengal and hosts Gujarat have both bagged four gold medals each while Haryana have earned three gold medals. So far, Services are the only other team to win multiple gold medals and sit fourth in standings.
