LIV Golf is in direct completion with the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, and the division will most definitely continue to make headlines well into this year. Rory McIlroy is currently among one of the most vocal critics of LIV.

2023 LIV Golf 2023 Prize money
The 2023 LIV Golf will offer a total prize money worth $405m (£337m).
2023 LIV Golf League format explained
The format for the 2023 LIV Golf League works on the following principles:
- 14 events
- 54 holes
- 48 players
- 12 teams
- Shotgun starts
- No cuts
The regular part of the season will feature different events held across three days with the traditional stroke play format. After three rounds/54 holes, an individual winner will be decided.
The “No cut”, means that all the players will feature every day. Meanwhile the “shotgun starts” mean that all players in the competition will begin at the same time each day across the course.
Besides competing for individual points, teams with the lowest combined score will be crowned as the team champions. The completion will also feature a “Team Championship” event, which will be the last event of the series.
Last year, the “Team Championship” took place in Miami and it was was a four-day, four-round, match play knockout. The organizers seeded the teams based on the season’s results. After all the matches, last two teams standing teams competed in the “Championship Match”.

The 2023 LIVE Golf League features 13 major champions on their players list and 48 players in total. Moreover, all of these players are locked in for the entire campaign. All the players are divided into the following 12 teams of four players each:

2023 LIV Golf League tickets
Golf fans in the UK who wish to buy tickets for the three-day event at the Centurion Club, near Hemel Hempstead, on 7-9 July 2023 can do so once the links get posted on the official site. Once they are posted, fans can buy tickets for the opening five events.
