2021 Nitto ATP Finals Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev have booked their places into the semi-finals, know the schedule, date, time, draw, standings of the semi-finals

2nd Round of the ATP finals concluded after Casper Ruud claimed victory over Cameron Norrie. In this round, Mateo Berrettini and Stefanos Tsitsipas had to withdraw from the tournament due to the injury they sustained in the previous round.

To replace them, Alternates Jannik Sinner and Cameron Norrie were roped in. Sinner will fill Berrettini’s place and Cameron took Tsitsipas’s place.

The standings for the groups have shuffled after the second round. This article will guide you to the results, next round fixtures, odds, prediction, tickets, and live stream details.

2021 Nitto ATP Finals: 2nd Round Results, Scores And Groups Standings

  1. (2) Daniil Medvedev defeated (3)Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-7, 7-6

With this victory over Zverev Medvedev secured his position in the semi-finals. It was comparatively a difficult outing for Medvedev against Zverev than the one they played in Paris masters.

The match was a close one, as whosoever would have won the decider tie-breaker, he shall have qualified to the semi-finals.

2. (1) Novak Djokovic defeated (5) Andrey Rublev 6-3, 6-2

Another semi-final berth was booked after Djokovic thrashed Rublev to a humiliating straight-set victory.

Rublev who stunned Tsitsipas in the first round seemed a mere shadow of himself in this match. Nevertheless, Rublev’s next-round match against Ruud is an important one, as the winner of that match qualifies for the semi-finals.

3. J. Sinner defeated Hubert Hurkacz 6-2, 6-2

Jannik Sinner came in as a replacement for Matteo Berrettini. Since the Italian had already lost his first match due to retirement, Sinner had to continue with a defeat to his name.

While Hurkacz remained the favorite for the match. Sinner provided a huge upset to Hurkacz’s qualification. The fellow Italian smashed Sinner out of the park and left him clueless.

With this victory, now the chances for a semi-final berth are open for  Zverev, Sinner, and Hurkacz. Their fate hangs on their 3rd round results.

4. (8) Chris Ruud defeated Cameron Norrie 1-6, 6-3, 6-4

Cameron Norrie replaced Stefanos Tsitsipas. Similar to the situation with Jannik Sinner, even Norrie had to play his first match with a defeat to his name.

Unlike Sinner, the match did not go in his favor. He looked promising in the first set after sealing the deal by a score of 6-1. However, Ruud made a great comeback in the following sets to keep his qualification hopes alive.

2021 Nitto ATP Finals: Odds, Predictions

(1) Hubert Hurkacz vs Alexander Zverev

Hubert Hurkacz-  (+320)

Alexander Zverev- (-450)

Winner- Alexander Zverev

Even the odds, seem to favor the German. This is a do-or-die situation for Zverev. If he wins, he is through to the semi’s, but if he loses then the group is wide open.

Although the Olympic medalist knows how to perform under pressure, and considering the same situation with Hurkacz, it is likely that Zverev absorbs the pressure better.

2. Daniil Medvedev vs Jannik Sinner

Medvedev-  (-280)

Sinner – (+215)

Winner – Daniil Medvedev
