The staff of Malevolent Spirits Mononogatari released the second season’s full-length promotional video on Friday, June 2, 2023 with the season 2 release date out as well
Several of the main characters from the show appeared in the video. A release date of July 2023 was also announced alongside the promotional video. The theme music for the series was also previewed in the promotional film.

You don’t have to wait longer as Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari season 2 will release on July 3, 2023. In November 2021, it was reported that Tokyo MX, BS11, and other networks would be airing an anime adaptation of Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari, and on January 10 of the following year, the first season debuted.
A teaser trailer for Season 2 was posted online shortly after the conclusion of Season 1’s final episode on March 28, 2023. However, at the time, no formal dates were announced. The makers have changed this now that the date has been revealed in the latest major trailer.
Trailer for Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2
A clip from the season finale, in which Hyoma Kunato makes a solemn oath to protect Botan Nagatsuki, opens the trailer for Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2. The trailer then showed us Tsuzumi, Tsumabiki, and Fukie, three brand-new characters. Then, the teaser revealed the existence of a mystery being called Karakasa no Tsukumogami, which serves as the Tsukumogami’s life source. Moreover, the trailer gave the impression that Karakasa knew Botan.
As has been widely reported, the trailer also featured the show’s theme tune and numerous fight scenes, implying that Season 2 will be packed with exciting new adventures. Hyoma Kunato and Karakasa’s skills were also highlighted in the teaser, much to the joy of the audience.
Theme Songs and Cast of Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2
Kouhei Fukuhara will play Tsuzumi, Mika Doi will play Tsumabiki, and Yusuke Shirai will play Fukie, the producers announced alongside the series’ official premiere date. Fans of Dragon Ball Z Kai will know Kouhei as Namekian, One Piece’s Mika as Coby, and IDOLiSH7’s Yusuke as Yamato Nikaido.
Dare ga Tame (For Whom) by Megatera Zero serves as the opening theme, while Private Room by Azusa Tadokoro serves as the ending theme; both songs were released to the public. Megatera is a utaite rocker, and fans of By the Grace of the Gods and Baki will recognize Azusa from those films.
The second season of the anime will feature Yoko Hikasa as Karakasa no Tsukumogami. Yoko is well-known for her portrayals of Kiyosumi Shirakawa in Call of the Night and Farnese in Berserk. Additional voice actors include:
