On January 11, user @thestartofluck shared details of the video on a social networking site, disclosing that Verbalase had reportedly spent approximately $50,000 on the creation of a Hazbin Hotel spinoff music video.

The video features a song titled “Hide Away,” with Charlie pursuing Verbalase until a nonconsensual encounter ensues. Rumors circulating on platforms like Reddit suggest that Verbalase, also known as Adym Steven Evans, faced financial distress following the creation of the animated music video.

A user on the r/youtubedrama subreddit, u/paisleypancake, claimed, “This apparently caused him and his YouTube channel to go completely bankrupt.”

Additionally, u/paisleypancake mentioned unverified claims that the video involved collaboration with a 15-year-old, though official sources have not confirmed this information.

Hazbin Hotel, created by Vivienne Medrano in 2019, is an animated musical comedy slated for release on Prime Video this month. The series centers around Charlie Morningstar’s quest to rehabilitate “Sinners” by establishing a hotel for their transformation into better individuals.

Despite the uproar on the internet, Verbalase has yet to address the video publicly. The situation has led to widespread online trolling of the YouTuber, with users sharing humorous memes to express their reactions.
