WTA Finals Tennis 2022 Women’s Singles Favourites, Betting Odds And Winner Players Predictions List
1- Iga Swiatek
Iga Swiatek is the top seed and conceivably the favourite to win the WTA Finals this year. The Pole had a fantastic season, winning two Grand Slams and four WTA 1000 matches. Swiatek has a commanding lead in ranking points at No. 1 in the world after winning the “Sunshine Double” of WTA 1000 events at Indian Wells and Miami this season. She has also won her second Roland Garros trophy, her first US Open title, and a pair of other major tournaments. The Pole finished the year with a 37-match winning run (including Billie Jean King Cup matches).
2- Ons Jabeur
The second-ranked player in the world, Ons Jabeur, had a strong season as well, winning the Madrid Open and reaching two Grand Slam finals. She will be inspired to win in the WTA Finals after suffering heartbreak in two Major title contests.
Jabeur rose to No. 2 in the world this season after winning her maiden WTA 1000 championship in Madrid and making it to her first two Grand Slam finals at Wimbledon and the US Open. Jabeur had a significant role in the organisation of the 2022 Jasmin Open, the first WTA event to take place in Tunisia.
3- Jessica Pegula
Jessica Pegula will be one of the players for the championship of the event based on her performance this season. The American will be optimistic going into the match after winning the Guadalajara Open for the first time in 2022. The highlights of Pegula’s season included her first WTA 1000 title in Guadalajara, a second WTA 1000 final in Madrid, and quarterfinal performances at three of the four Grand Slams (Australian Open, Roland Garros and US Open). Pegula won her first five doubles titles in 2022 as well.
4- Coco Gauff
Both, Caroline Garcia and Coco Gauff have demonstrated strong performances this year, and they both stand a chance of succeeding in Fort Worth. Aryna Sabalenka, Daria Kasatkina, and Maria Sakkari are all competitors at the WTA Finals and all three could pose a threat to the top players.
Gauff entered the Top 10 for the first time this year after winning her first Grand Slam singles match at Roland Garros. This season, she held the top spot in the WTA Doubles rankings for four weeks. Since 2005, the 18-year-old qualifier for the WTA Finals is the youngest.
5- Caroline Garcia
Caroline Garcia, who began the season outside of the Top 70, jumped back into the Top 10 for the first time since 2018. In the second half of 2022, Garcia won her first titles since 2019, and at the US Open, she reached her first Grand Slam semifinal of her career. The Spaniard has been going through a very promising season.
