Dalton Douglas Knecht is an American college basketball player who was born on April 19, 2001, in Thornton, Colorado. Knecht primarily plays as a shooting guard with the Tennessee Volunteers in the Southeastern Conference. Prior to starting out his college career, Knecht attended Prairie View High School, where he developed his skills. He is currently 22 years old.

Due to the 2020 season, which was affected by the coronavirus pandemic, Knecht had the opportunity to utilize an additional year of eligibility for college athletes. Knecht used this to his advantage and transferred to Tennessee.
Knecht grew up in Thornton, Colorado and attended Prairie View High School and entered his sophomore year at 5’8″ and grew to 6’1″ by his junior year.
Knecht started off his Tennessee Volunteers debut with a bang by getting picked as the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Player of the Week in the opening week of the season. He scored an impressive 17 points in the season opener against Tennessee Tech. The following gameweek, he secured 24 points and five rebounds during an 80-70 win over Wisconsin.
