A well-known Indian Singer Sonu Nigam was attacked on Monday night by son of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Phaterpekar and his goons during the music concert which was held in Chembur, Mumbai, India.
A year back, Sonu was a part of numerous objectionable tweets on the Azaan and forced religiousness. A year earlier, the then CM of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, and his ministers came in the support of Azaan in Mumbai.
Sonu Nigam is stated to be severely injured along with his brother. Both brothers were immediately taken to Chembur’s Zen hospital. Sonu Nigam stated, ‘his life was saved because of his bodyguards and he said he cannot speak more about this.’
This incident took place when Prakash’s son was not able to click pictures with singer Sonu Nigam during the music event in Chembur.
