On Tuesday, a 24-year-old was discovered dead only days after he went missing. Farhan Serajuddin, who was on his way to Lonavala on a trip, was found dead. On Tuesday, his corpse was discovered in a 40-feet deep valley near Duke’s Nose.

His family filed a missing person complaint with the Lonavala Rural Police Station 4 days ago, and a rescue team comprised of police, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and INS Shivaji personnel has been searching for him since then.
Farhan was discovered dead in the canyon by a squad from INS Shivaji, a naval outpost near Lonavala.

Farhan Serajuddin was a 24 years old trekker who died recently.
He hails from Delhi. He is a mechanical engineer by profession and currently worked for a robotics company. His family details and LinkedIn and Instagram profile are not available.
Farhan travelled to Kolhapur on business. He decided to go on a hike on Friday afternoon after finishing his duties. He travelled to Lonavala for a hike in the forest region surrounding Nagphani, also known as Duke’s Nose, which is reputed to be a high-risk excursion, due to his enthusiasm for hiking.
He eventually realised he was stranded in the forests and contacted his brother for assistance. The distress call was reported to the Lonavala police by his brother. Soon after, the search for Farhan started.
On Tuesday, his corpse was discovered in a 40-feet deep ravine near Duke’s Nose. It’s probable that the engineer fell down the gorge after slipping and falling. However, an inquiry into the reason for Farhan’s death is still underway. The corpse was also subjected to a postmortem examination.
Inspector Sitaram Dubal, in charge of the Lonavala town police station, previously told The Indian Express that Farhan’s last text messages indicate that he was exhausted, dehydrated, and had run out of food supplies, and that predicated on where his body was discovered in the ravine.
He also added that they have grounds to suppose that Farhan might have decided to walk across a dried stream in a quest to seek a path out from the forest. It’s also probable that he fell into the canyon from a cliff and suffered serious numerous injuries.
