While many reports said that he is a native of Gujarat, other reports claimed that he is currently a resident of Kadavanthra. He is currently 48 years old and follows Christianity.

Remarkably, Dominic Martin was also a Jehovah’s Witness and publicly admitted to committing crimes in a Facebook Live video that he posted right before surrendering at the Kodakara police station.

He clarified in this video that the Christian denomination had stubbornly refused to alter their policies, which he felt encouraged hatred, despite his repeated requests for them to do so. As a result, he decided to use explosives to disrupt the conference.

While the investigation into this unsettling occurrence is ongoing, Dominic Martin has been charged under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act of 1967 (UAPA) in addition to facing additional serious charges.
