“Beau was a beautiful soul who spent the better part of his life helping others. We miss his infectious smile and positive attitude every day. We know his spirit will live on through his company and passion, Sober Grid, as it continues to help those struggling with the grip of addiction.”

Since then, Beau Mann has been in the news, and right now, many people are trying to find out more about him. So, here’s what we know about him:

Who was Beau Mann?

Beau Mann was an American entrepreneur. He has been in the news because his remains were found after he vanished a year ago.

He was a resident of an apartment in Los Angeles, California, at the time of his disappearance. He also resided in New York for some time. His company, Sober Grid, is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Beau Mann established Sober Grid in 2015 to make it easier for drug users to stay in touch and monitor one another. Users of the software have the option to use their actual identities or remain anonymous.

At that time, he was not married. However, he had a fiancée, whose name is Jason Abate. At the time of his disappearance, he was 40 years old. His height was 5 feet 10 inches, and his weight was 210–220 lbs. His story was covered by Dateline’s “Missing in America” series last year.

How did he disappear?

On November 30, 2021, Beau Mann vanished in Los Angeles, California. He was last seen exiting a Studio City 7-Eleven convenience shop on Ventura Boulevard. Mann had just returned from Thanksgiving with his family and siblings in Texas when he vanished.

On the evening of November 29, 2021, he ordered takeout, met a friend, talked to his partner on the phone, and then went to bed. The following day, Mann went to a coffee shop before being seen on security footage at a 7-Eleven. With a beverage in hand and a large plastic shopping bag, he was observed exiting the shop.

After leaving the shop, Beau Mann allegedly picked up an Uber car, but he never returned home. Before going off, his phone texted 911, saying, “In Uber gray.” A few days later, Mann’s flat was the subject of a welfare check, but Mann was not there.

On December 4, 2021, his assistant reported a missing individual to the Los Angeles Police Department. Although the Uber driver said that he had dropped Mann off at his residence, there was no proof to back up this assertion.

Although no incident was recorded by Uber on that particular day, the records of the Uber app revealed that Mann was “dropped off” on Berkeley Street in Santa Monica, California. From then to today, his loved ones have been waiting for him. But now that his remains have been found, nothing much is known about his death. His net worth isn’t known.

The body of Beau Mann has finally been recovered. He disappeared after an Uber dropped him off on November 30, 2021 in Los Angeles, California.
