Why does CR7 want to leave Al-Nassr?

Only a few months after joining Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr from English juggernaut Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to leave the club. His stay in England was soured by a shocking interview with Piers Morgan, and the superstar later decided to break his contract with United.

The 38-year-old Ronaldo then decided to sign with the Middle Eastern club, where he would make an astounding £175 million annually. According to El Nacional, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has found it challenging to acclimatise to a completely new and different environment, as many may anticipate. The language barrier has most significantly hampered Ronaldo’s advancement at Al-Nassr.

What ambassador role will Real Madrid offer Cristiano Ronaldo with him set to leave Al Nassr

The next step could be a return to one of his well-known former clubs and possibly Real Madid. He has been offered a non-playing role by Real Madrid. In an unexpected change of events, the Portugal international will be given the chance to make a comeback by his old team Real Madrid.

El Nacional, however, claims that the position would require him to become an ambassador, therefore any playing time would not be included. According to the Spanish publication, Florentino Perez promised Ronaldo that he will always have a job at Santiago Bernabeu. He clearly wouldn’t do it to be a player, though, as he believes that the cycle has ended and should be regarded as such.

Ronaldo expressed sadness about leaving the Spanish capital and asked about the possibility of returning as a player to the area where he spent nine seasons. He offered himself to Florentino Perez, according to the El Nacional, but Carlo Ancelotti and the president both immediately turned him down.

He received numerous honours when playing for Real Madrid, and if he were to make a long-awaited comeback, he would aim to maintain his work ethic, albeit more in the background. They won four Champions League titles, two La Liga crowns, and a wealth of other trophies, both collectively and individually, with Ronaldo’s assistance.

The Bernabeu team’s supporters will welcome their club hero back in whatever capacity and may even get their dream. Given that Madrid is the place where the two originally fell in love, his partner Georgina Rodriguez is allegedly very amenable to relocating there.

Al-Nassr during Cristiano Ronaldo’s tenure

Forget about the lavish salary Ronaldo receives from his current team; it is clear that Ronaldo wants to maintain his level of success wherever he played. He scored 12 goals in as many league games so far this season, instantly becoming the league’s face and bringing his football knowledge and reputation with him.

Most recently, Ronaldo scored just four minutes into the game to help his team defeat Al-Raed 3-0 at home. Although Al-Nassr has now closed the gap on Al-Ittihad, who currently sit atop the table, they still hold a one-game advantage and are therefore comfortably seated.
