Maldives Police have launched an investigation after extremists disrupted Yoga Day celebrations. This comes at a time when Islamists have been fanning widespread unabated hate towards Hindus across India with incessant violence, stone pelting and calls asking for Nupur Sharma to be beheaded and butchered. This is despite Muslims in India persistently mocking Hindus and the pious shivling, attacks which have gone unnoticed with no one from the Muslim community condemning the unbridled attacks against Hindus by Muslims rampant in the country.

“The Maldives Police have initiated an investigation into the incident that occurred this morning at Galolhu Stadium.” “This is being treated as a severe matter, and those responsible will be brought before the law as soon as possible,” Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said on Twitter after the event.

Yoga Day celebrations in the Maldives were disrupted by Islamist radicals on June 21. Islamists were spotted approaching the Galolhu stadium where thousands were practising yoga on the eighth International Yoga Day, according to videos posted on social media. They tore down the stadium’s flags and used them to harm the celebrations’ attendees.

Another video posted by Raajje TV showed Islamists destroying the site and destroying food kiosks intended for the attendees.

According to reports, the event was planned in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community Development by the Indian Mission in the Maldives. When the Islamist militants stormed the stadium, diplomats, government officials, and Maldives ministers were present.

After the Islamists barged in, the event, which had begun at 6:30 a.m., was called off. To keep the situation from devolving into a physical brawl, police resorted to employ tear gas shells to disperse the enraged Islamist fanatics.

According to the President of the Maldives, an investigation has been launched.

Following the incident, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made a statement saying that an investigation into the incident at the Galolhu Stadium has been begun.
