The news of Sheldon’s passing is heart-breaking for all who knew and worked with him,” Bailey wrote in a Facebook post, “Sheldon vocally had Reese down and That’s what Maurice said when he hired him to share vocals and play guitar. Sheldon Reynolds was an excellent addition to the band, he was also a stunning writer and producer, and a genuinely kind and loving person with all. He will be remembered.”

Sheldon Reynolds career, education, and family
Sheldon Reynolds was born on the 13th of September in, 1959, and he hailed from Cincinnati, Ohio. Sheldon Reynolds started playing guitar when he was just eight years old, and when he turned twelve years old, he was considered a prodigy. Sheldon was an alumnus of The University of Cincinnati.
Sheldon started his career by touring with the singer Millie Jackson. Reynolds, later on, joined the R&B band Sun, with whom he recorded around three albums. In early 1983 he became a member of The Commodores, which is a band and he spent four years with them.
However, Sheldon claimed name and fame came when he joined Earth, Wind, and Fire (EWF) being a lead guitarist and a co-vocalist. He further went on to play on the EWF’s LPs Touch The World in 1987, The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 2 in 1988, Heritage in 1990, Millennium in 1993, and In The Name of Love released in 1997.
Sheldon Reynolds was also a contributing editor for the magazine Astronomy and he also was the host of a talk show on Twilight Radio. He was formerly married to his love of life Janie Hendrix, who is the adopted sister of Jimi Hendrix. Details related to his other family members are not known.
